A native San Franciscan, I've called Paris home since 1986. For over 20 years my travel, food, wine and arts features have appeared in about 50 magazines and newspapers worldwide. I've been contributing editor, European arts editor or Paris correspondent for half a dozen magazines, and am currently a European correspondent for Gadling, the literary travel site. After a quarter century I continue to enjoy living in Paris, and working and traveling throughout Europe. I also enjoy sharing my experiences with my readers, and taking them on private, custom tours of Paris, Rome, Burgundy and the Italian Riviera. Paris, Paris: Journey into the City of Light, with striking photography by Alison Harris was reissued in a fully updated, expanded and redesigned edition in the Armchair Traveler series by Broadway Books (April 2011) and has gone into 5 printings in 6 months. April was a two-fer: the lavishly illustrated Quiet Corners of Rome
, with stunning photography, again by Alison, also appeared. Paris City of Night
is a classic thriller set in Paris. Food Wine The Italian Riviera & Genoa (The Terroir Guides)
, Food Wine Rome
, and Food Wine Burgundy
are published by The Little Bookroom. My latest venture is WanderingLiguria.com, a travel, food and wine website dedicated to the Italian Riviera (including Genoa, Cinque Terre and Portofino).
